Hi all fans of Symfomania Rock Show

The DJ of Symfomania Rock Show (so called: DJGJ) was very interested for
years in Symphonic, Melodic and Progressive Rock. He enjoyed the fine music of great bands from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90’s as Vanilla Fudge, Genesis, Marillion, IQ, Pallas, Pendragon, Pink Floyd, Yes, Porcupine Tree, Aphrodites Child and others…

But in his own country (the Netherlands) there was no radio show with his
favourite music. In the beginning of the 90s, he had an idea: his own music
show at a radio station! But the problem was how to realise this excellent idea. To make a long story short: after contacting the local radio station, called Nieuwegein-Radio, he got this opportunity and in September 1994 the show Symfomania (so called: Late Night Symfo) started for only 1 hour a week.

Symfomania Rock Show was in the first 10 years a small but great success with the following highlights: in every show many new cd’s, regular interviews (with bands as Marillion, IQ, Pallas, Porcupine Tree, Landmarq, Everon, Ayreon, Jadis, Pendragon, Collage a.s.o.), sometimes some gigs in the radio studio, lots of fans on his website etc.

In December 2003 Nieuwegein-Radio was closing down. In July 2004,
Symfomania Rock Show had a new start at www.radioseagull.com. Since 2008 Symfomania Rock Show was also broadcast at www.poprockfm.com. And from august 2019 Symfomania has a third radio station: Hoex Radio in the Netherlands.

You can find the programming on this page.
